Dear Gang, Just today the owner of college bar, where I am doing all signs and such for grand opening, asked me if I could paint a popular 70's board game on to the dance floor so the kids could "twist" their bodies on the floor! Any ideas? I was thinking of using Behr 50/50 polyurethane over one shot lettering enamel on a wooden floor. Does that sound good?
Thanks for listening, Jimmy B

Whatever you paint be sure to explain that it will get worn by the patrons, and need periodic maintenance.A gym floor with only sneakers might hold up to the foot traffic but try 100 college kids in street shoes and just about anything you paint is gonna get scuffed.

Thanks Tim, The 50-50 Bher will lay down thick and give it a 1/8th to 1/4 inch clear coat depending on how thick I coat it with. I'm hoping this willbe good for a year. Thanks Again, Jim Barrett

Hi Jim; I work for the school board and we use a water based poly to cover all enamels on the gym floors. This has a hardner added so you only have to give it a light cleaning in two years for recoat. We wash them a lot in that time and have a lot of traffic on them as well.Hope this helps thanks Randy.
