My wheels are already spinning for the Spring Fling-2003, A Gathering of Craftsmen meet !!!! [Big Grin]
I am trying to feel out the crowd as to what would be most enviting.
(A) $60.00 a head includes tee shirt, meals and door prizes.
(B) $15.00 a head and you are on your own for food, drinks, no door prizes, (porta-potty will be provided). But, HOWEVER, an awesome brunch of omelets on my Great Granny's 1930 Home Comfort wood burning stove will be provided.
Any and all input will be most appreciated.

I liked the food and not having to leave the
meet. I would rather pay the $60.00
I will even buy the biscuits.

$60 is fine with us...We like not having to leave the meet for food. We might miss something! I hope to get one of your famous omlettes at the next meet, Johh.I missed out last time.

At Mass Mayhem I provided coffee and donuts, lunch only no dinner, A tshirt and most important BEER! I found that dinner can be expensive and some people want to leave around that time anyway, especially sunday with travel time ahead of them. I also did doorprizes most of which I got donated or discounted. So for $50 everybody got their moneys worth and most left with a brush or paint or something cool like a pro pallette.

My whole thing was to keep the meet simple, and inexpensive but have lots of fun, a little excietment and some knowlege (kinda the same way I look at sign design)
so I guess what I am saying is Breakfast would be nice around granny's stove, its something unique to experience, Only at Spring Fling
Although this was my second time hosting, by no means am I the authority on Letterhead meets, but I think you should charge em 60 but make sure they get what they pay for. If you charge em 15 and they dont get any perks?.... well, ya get what ya pay for. and 60 is a reasonable price anyway.

The $60.00 was a deal. We enjoyed every minute we were at your meet. Thanks again, you and the family did a great job.

I'm with the rest, $60 is a bargain.

I guess I disagree with everyone here John...I've weighed it out and 60 is just a tad too steep for us signpainter types.

I've talked to a few others and we all agree...

$59.00 and we'll fill the room!

A rebate would be considered... [Smile]

I'm with the majority here, I'm also afraid I'll miss something.

Have one suggestion tho, could we have breakfast for dinner one night? hehe [Wink]

Cher.

i'm also a vegetarian, so i end up having to get my own food at these events. i usually like the excuse to go visit the town and see what's what, plus its nice to take a break from the excitement (and the fumes).

my preference is for breakfast (or donuts and coffee, sodas and maybe lunch (sandwhich bar with cheese and cold-cuts for the carnivores), but no dinner.

i don't really wear printed T-shirts either, so that's another expense i could do without.

i guess i'm just a party pooper.

The food at your meet was great, John, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world! *laughs*.. though, if people wanted a cheaper cost, charge em a smaller price without the shirt and door prize or something.. Just a suggestion [Wink]

But I would reccomend.. dats a good price.. even for an aussie.. the meet here in Sydney this year is $170... a bit more than I can afford I'm afraid... and Portland was even more.

Anyway.. back to boring assignment work again.. who cares about the role of the knowledge worker in management? I mean, really....
