Hello friends, My name is Frank Weidman and I am new to this site and pretty much to the business. I have about a lil over 5yrs working with vinyl graphics in all sorts of applications. Just by luck I have a chance to open my own shop by this fall, (have been raising 4 kids and working out of my house for the last 9 months). Created a few logos and have been working as a free lance designer for a few local shop getting my name out there. Now I am taking the chance to have my own shop and am very happy I found this site. I have been reading everything I can on this site in the last couple days and I am very happy to absorb the knowledge and warm feeling here. Just wanted to say HELLO!! and and to say thankyou to you fellow artist that can make a site for a young newbie like myself prepare for the scary challenges that I face in the up and coming months. Hope to talk to you all soon.... Frank Weidman

Hi Frank, I've only been around here for about four month myself and I learnt more in this time than before in years! This site is constantly challenging me to try new things and get better at what I am doing already. And I also have made some new friends and renewed my love for the trade. It's a win win situation. Welcome, and have fun!

Thank you for the warm welcome from everybody. My wife and I enjoy this site very much and when we get our shop established we plan on becoming permanant residents. Love that the fact that I see real sign makers and not the quick get rich shops here. At age 26 I am hoping to learn alot from each and everyone of you guys and ladies. would like to know when there will be a live chat with others, please let me know

What took you so long Frank? Ha ha ha! Glad to meet you!
Well Frank, Live Chat is 24/7 in these parts.
Go to the main Letterheads Page and click the green chat button. You'll have to scroll down and be careful to type in a nick name. If it keeps popping you back up as guest##### then type your nick again with a symbol key after it, examples in the parenthesis ( ^ _ - > < ) remember...leave no spaces in your nick or it won't take what's after the first one.
EST around 9-10pm through to 4am you should be able to find somebody in there. We have a morning crowd as well, EST 5am on till clients start showing up ha ha ha.
We're glad to have you aboard and hope you enjoy yourself!

Welcome Frank...You'll find no shortage of opinions here.
Enjoy the ones that please you and learn to ignore the one that don't...just like the real world there are as many opinions as there are people...unlike the real world some opinions are pushed harder than they would be if you were talking in person.
I know you will enjoy being here...glad to help anytime and expect the same when the need arrives.
Let me be the first to invite you to a "live meet" there are two you need to watch for, for sure they are both annual events ...
"Swampland Panel Jam" Monroe La. every January (Joey Hutson puts on a heck of a meet)
"Freds Sasekalahewata" (Seminole for "Keeper of the craft or "teacher") Freds meet is in Oklahoma City every march and is one of the best "Hands on" meets around.
Look to the menue at the left of this page and click on "Past Meets" and you can check out both these and other meets that have transpired.
There is also another meet in Ireland next year...don't miss that!("futre meets")
By the way I grew up as a small child in Mansfield Ohio...how far is that from you?
Posted by Frank Weidman (Member # 3004) on :
Hey there Monti, Mansfield is about 2 & 1/2 hrs away, perrysburg is between B.G. and Toledo. Grew up most of my life in Toledo
