That's a good tip, Curtis. You would think the software would come from the vendor set in a safe mode as opposed to the least safe.

With Win2000, IE5 or 6, running with an always on connection like DSL, if you happen to get a DNS message the first time you go to a site, you will continue to get a DNS message until the next time you reboot your computer. This sounds convoluted, but I have been wrestling with this problem for a year. The fix at the above link makes the problem go away.

Never attempt to change your registry without first backing it up!

Man that little messenger in NT/2K/XP is one of the nicest features about those operating systems, especially if you have an office network. You can carry on a conversation with someone, anyone, anywhere on the network, without other people listening over the cubicle wall. [Smile]
