Got a message warning about a "teddy bear" virus concerning a file called jdbgmgr.exe. If this has already been posted, I apologize, but better to make sure you know the real story...

The story is you search for this file(jdbgmgr.exe) on your computer and then send it to the recycle bin & delete it, because the virus programs can't detect it. It's supposedly spread unknowingly through your email program's contact list.

However, check out the link below for Symantec's(Norton) explaination of it. Basically this file has been a target of some virus but Norton and others have added protection against it a year ago.

I know people who will read the entire manual that comes with a new software package before installing on their computer, but will follow the instructions sent to them in an email blindly. Go figure.

I mentioned in another thread that this is a hoax- that file is necessary for IE to run...so delete at your own peril!!
