I have had some requests for trophies and plaques. They want a picture of a dirtbike rider on a track on the plaque. What is the best method for doing this and what equipment is reccommended?

Richard, you have multiple options.

One is to get a good piece of vector art and just engrave it on the trophy. You can do something similar with a laser engraver.

There are also blank trophy disks designed to take a custom rider plate or decal. When I was in retail, I made these with the Edge and cut to shape with the HS 15. You could do a spiff variation on this by doming them with TC Resin. If you do not have the printing equipment, you can buy circular decals from the big print houses.

You might even get away with running color copies, cutting, and laminating. I've done them that way but was not especially pleased with the result.

Other possibilities include iron on transfers from either dye-sublimation printers or laser printers, I've seen both work well. If its monochrome you can silkscreen onto the metal plate... Lots of possibilities..
