Hi heads!

I guess I need some help with this. The picture is crude, but you'll get the idea. I have this poject to do, but I'm still not sure on materials. It's a brick stucture with Omega panels attached to it and lettered with vinyl. The top can is metal and lettered with vinyl also. I feel for the "type" of sign this is the materials just don't seem like it will convey the right message. In addition to this I have metal cast letters for the building also.

Some comments from those who do this type of work would be appreciated. I just don't have a good feeling for the out come, but it does fit their budget.

So I'm asking what type of materials could I use that would like right. I'd like to do it all in form letters, but I'm affraid the cost will take care of that idea.

Anyway, any ideas?

Hiya Chuck,
A simple way to make the sign look more upscale without breaking the bank is to use acrylic faces and mount them to the structure with stand-offs.
A nice frosted acrylic with vinyl letters give a nice dimensional look without the cost and the headaches when a name changes.
Here's My example:

Havin' fun,

You're the man Brian. I never thought of that and hoped someone would have an idea. I think I'll look into that real close. It's different and it looks good with a "lighter" feel to it. Thanks for the idea and the time you took to show me. Just what I needed to make me think differently.

I like it!

Now I have to ask some more. I've never seen a "frosted" acrylic so I hope I can find some. These panels are 8'long so I should probably use a few more stands off's don't you think. I'm guessing I just make the stand off, but when it comes to the mounting, what would you use in brick. Any item name I can ask for or just wander around the hardware store.

Thanks again Brian. I really like this idea.

3m makes a cool vinyl called frosted crystal, I would coat the back of the Acrylic with that and white vinyl on the front...

Hey Brian,

I've called a couple suppliers and found only one that carries a matt finish 4x8x3'16 175.00 per sheet. Ouch! Do you know of any other suppliers that I could check. I guess if it comes down to it I could etchmark the back side of clear acrylic? What do you think?

Thanks
