Ron Bidwel, the host of the 2001 Australian National Letterhead meeting in Portland nsw, has just recieved the pewter badges from his event and will be sending them out to all who attended in the next week.
Ron has also managed, with the help of Ron Andrews from Sign Design in Canberra (1996 host)who did all the profile work, to produce a few pewter badges from the Bannockburn, national letterhead 2000 meet's logo.
Because all these badges went through as one job lot, Biddi tells me that the Bannockburn badges are available for only $13.50 which includes the postage. Now that's a steal!
For anyone who attended Rick, Roz and Gemma Hayman's great meeting down south, who wants to add a pewter badge to their collection, all you have to do is...talk to Bidi
Ron can be contacted at: Ph: 02 6355 5288 Fax: 02 6355 5299 e-mail: ronb@lisp.com.au Po Box: 188, Portland, NSW. 2847
Make checks payable to: Letterheads 2001

Gail, we up over people have heard about these things for awhile now. How about some of you posting a collection of pics of past meet badges, so we can see what we've not been getting? Sounds like a real cool tradition.
All we get up here are airbrushed refrigerators.

Hi Gail, sure would like one if its like all the past ones, as the plastic one just isnt the same. sorta thought we would of got them anyway...afterall wasnt cheep and expected cast ones. Don, dont know if you saw the inside of my work box but I have every badge from the aussie meets except the 2001 meet of rons plastered on the inside lid. they started out as belt buckles, then just badges. They are pretty kewl..
Cheers!

g'day tess, long time no yak!
i too want to keep with tradition and grab a pewter one the whole idea was ron andrews, as he felt the same way about his collection being all of one look i sent him the art and he did all the work... seems the badgemaker owned him a few favours and bidi's meeting sudsidised them to the s*ithouse, getting em all put through as one job lot didnt hurt either.
normally they would be 3x times what bidi needs to cover the extra cost and for that he will post em out to ya!
i'd still like to know what kind fairy got u that first one (nudge, nudge, say no more)
hey guess what... looks like we got a fridge (at the right price) happening for october, one of my young blokes works for retravision and his boss needs sum work doing of the 'paint-n-air' variety soooo sounds like a plan!
don i will take a shot or two in the am to show you lot what your missing far as the badges are concerned, it's tooo late and im tooo tied now till then
cheers gail

No, Rod...I didn't see them when you were here. Do you suppose you could come up again sometime soon and I'll take a look.
Thanks.
