How would you handle these serifs. I have carved letters without them but I'm stumped here. I need to carve this font as it is part of a logo. Thanks to any of you carvers who can give me some hints.

Rob, This is the way that I do it, but I'm curious to how you, Bob and others do it. I'm the only carver on my block so I do a lot of guessing. Jack
P.S. I very much wanted to make MM2, but my wife is scheduled for Louisville that weekend, and we have to make a vacation of it when we travel that far. See ya next time I hope. New England is still my favorite vacation.

I don't have a clue how to post a pic on here, so puttin it into words....that soft corner on the upper right, I would use a smaller round gouge at a shallow angle to start it and then use a flat or skew to finish it off to the stop cut.
I'm sittin here thinkin that carving is another one of those things that's easier to do than to put into words.It's sort of like drawing computer graphics...it works alot better when you can do it without thinking what you're doing.
Idea for a new book..."The Zen of Carving"....hey SignBuilder...you interested? hahahaha
