I need to create a log that looks like threaded embroidery.....which will be printed. This might not exactly be sign related...but artisitically related nevertheless.
The threads need to wrap around the "flow' of letter stroke, if you know what I mean, and have a dimensional look (not flat looking). Think of the letter "S" as the challenge. Can produce it out of three colors.
I've monkeyed around with this a bit in Photoshop, but it's a tough one...trying to get it to look legitimate.
It needs to be created out of spot colors as it will be screenprinted in a technique that isn't condusive to 4 color process.
Any ideas? Are there any plug-ins or "effect" filters or paint programs any of you are aware of that might aid me? Thanks for your advice and expertise.
