Being like a kid in a candy store, I installed way to many fonts. Is there a way of removing some with-out uninstalling Corel? Thanx

All you have to do is delete them from your
windows fonts directory.

You can create a new folder called FONTS under C: Create a sub-folder called COREL under FONTS. Put all your Corel fonts here. When you need one, copy and paste to you WINDOWS/FONTS folder. When you're done using that font, delete it from the Windows/Fonts folder. It still remains in your C:/FONTS/COREL folder on your HD! This way, if you have a big-enuf HD, you can load ALL your fonts in your 'puter, without bogging down!

First you say you installed to many fonts. Well if you installed all the fonts that come with CorelDraw then yes you are right that would bog down any windows computer windows in my opinion should stay below 700 fonts in the Windows/fonts directory. Now some people have had way more and some have had way less I suggest you stay below 700 and you will probably not have to many problems. Now I have another folder on my system called Xtra fonts and in it I have all the fonts from where ever I can get them and when ever I need one of those fonts I always use the install new fonts command from the fonts folder. What I do in windows is I click on the start button then click on the run command and in the command line I type the word fonts this opens the font folder. Then from their I do all my additions to the fonts on my system and all my deletions to my system fonts. If you cut and paste fonts you will be asking for problems I do not know why but windows can screw up your system fonts if you are not careful. Well I hope this helps

Try Bitstream Font Navigator that should have been part of your Corel Suite if you're using a fairly recent version of Corel.
Similar to what Bob suggested, I copied all my fonts to there respective folders (Truetype to a newly created TTF folder, Type 1 to a newly created Type 1 folder etc.) then had Font Navigator search those folders for fonts to keep in a font catalog. From the font catalog, I "install" and "remove" them as needed.
Probably none of this makes sense unless yu have and use Font Navigator.
Somewhere, either on this board or in one of the trade mags. (SignCraft?) there was an article on this very subject. Sorry I don't remember where but you might try searching the board.

Ed, just a couple of points (well, three actually); be sure the fonts you delete or move from the Windows Font directory are not system/windows fonts or you may find some very odd things happening to title and menu bars etc. Arial, Tahoma, and Verdana are the most obvious that spring to mind but there are more including some monos, please be careful.
Fonts are not all the same file size so it’s tricky to state an absolute maximum number to have installed, but 400 is the normal amount I’ve seen quoted as an absolute maximum.
In most applications you can use a True Type font on a temporary basis by double clicking on the file name (in windows explorer), then when the viewing window pops up (you know, the one with 'The quick brown fox' etc)– minimize it. You should be able to use the font until you close the window.

Other apps. will require certain other fonts. Corel, I'm sure requires Avante Garde at least.
