How many here have company uniforms or printed attire for everyday use. I know most probably have some, but I mean those that wear these on a daily basis.
Also what type do you have, embroidered or silk-screened etc. Shirt, polos, sweatshirts?

Ive got a bunch of good golf shirts with embroidered art work on them, and I try and wear them every day... its amazing how much work you'll pick up by people recognizing a logo and asking you about possible work to be done!

Hey Dave!

Tracy and I wear teal sweatshirts and matching golf shirts. We have our logo printed on the breast of the shirts.

We are getting new ones this spring. time for a new color... and sweaters, too.

Have a great one!

I wear a white button up shirt with embroidered name of our business above the pocket, white painters pants and Chuck Taylor sneekers (remember those guys from gym class..they go well in the wash)

Amy Brown said at the Spring Fling Meet that i look like a mechanic ..lol..guess i do.

I have noticed a differance how customers have treated me from when i wore jeans and a T-Shirt,(always have wore Converse Chucks) even with all the paint spatters. I wear them every day and i wright them off as a business expense.

I think that a good uniform is the way to go what ever your comfortable with.I have seen many of an old pictures of sign painters in 3 piece suits and no paint spatters amagine that!

Uniforms.. hehehe..

I guess if ya wanna call it a uniform, I usually wear a tee shirt.. usually something with flames or skulls all over it, and microfibre boardshorts in a hideously contrasting color to the shirt, sometimes with flames creeping up from the knees.
Like right now I'm wearing a royal blue tee with bright orange boardshorts, and I do go out in public like this. [Smile]
Oh yeah.. don't forget the sandals! Leave the white socks at home please. [Smile]

My outfits do grab attention but they also make me approachable cause my potential clients are wearing the same kinda stuff... afterall, you'd look pretty fruity wearin a suit to the beach. [Smile]

We wear screen printed t-shirts with our logo on the front and a hot rod on the back, with denim shorts or jeans. It helps the customers (or salesmen) find you at the dealerships. We also have some very cool suede jackets with our logo embroidered on the back. Of course we only get to wear them about two days a year because it is always so damn hot down here!

I wear my Pat ( P King Duck ) Kings Color-Alls with Hot Socks and SAS shoes when I work and dress like a doctor when I meet with a potential customer.

I pretty much always wear my "whites"- painter pants and long-sleeved plain white dress shirts (I get the shirts for a few bucks each at the thrift shop)
I have found that the "tidy, hard-working tradesman" look adds some credibility and helps with first impressions.
I will not touch a can of paint if I am "out of uniform", and as a result, none of my nice jeans have any paint on them!
I also find it helps me mentally prepare to concentrate on work if I have to change clothes to do it.

I'm with Joey on this one.
My "coloralls" serve several fuctions in and around the shop.
Never get any paint on my clothes beneath the coveralls.
No one confusing me with Carpenters,Farmers,or Train Engineers.
I have a slim chance of being hit at a crosswalk.
And when meeting with a first time customer for on location work,it makes easy work to determine
who I am.
Not to mention.....they look so cool

Uniforms are important in my mind. When we had a big crew I supplied t-shirts silk screened back and front. I also did up embroidered jean jackets which were very cool.

Now we are smaller (less crew) so I can afford more in the way of uniform. We have jean shirts (long sleeve and short) which are embroidered with real classy logos. Our jackets are also embroidered with a big logo on the back and a small version above the pocket on the front. We all wear tan cotton dockers and black shoes.

Customers notice and recognize the smart outfits too.
