We are registered vendors for highway signs here in MA. Recently a couple of outfits have joined the approved vendor list, and they are undercutting what had been very reasonable and competative prices. Our material costs are almost equal to what they are charging! I assume that we must be buying from the wrong distributor... Who would you all recommend buying .080 Highway Grade Reflective Aluminum from?

Thanks in advance....

Brit, try Wrisco. They have all types of aluminum! I haven't used the reflective, but a call would not hurt. Ask for Gina!

Hi Brit,
I started my own business not too long ago, but
I also Work for the Town of Natick,Ma. Highway Dept. in the sign shop.
We used to buy our blanks from Atlantic Sign Supply, (Atlantic Broom) in Hyde Park. After waiting about three weeks, we would get some of what we ordered and most of the blanks would be scratched and hacked up. At the prices we were paying, this became unacceptable especially with the small buget we have($25,000/yr).

Now we buy our blanks from Hall Signs in Bloomington, Indiana. We get them Three(3) days later, and they are perfect, not to mention their half the price we we're paying. They even plasma cut the extruded blanks so you won't cut yourself. We apply the reflective sheeting ourselves, but they do carry engineer-grade blanks, as well as high-intensity, and diamond-grade.

They provide great service,(50 Years)
Nice people,
hope this might help you!
