What paint would you use on Sand Stones, beside the Krylon spray paint??? I looking for something that I could use with brush to paint it with my hand... Would one-shot work?? Any other ideas???

Sandstone is very porous even when the eye sees it as smooth. You shouldn't have any problem getting 1-Shot to stay on the surface. It may help the prevent crumbling. Get out a geology book on this one.

Although we are in the sign biz once in a while we get an off beat thing. Since we sandblast we have had a number of contractor/landscapers come in for blasting of rock with street numbers and/or names. We have used black 1-shot on both granite and sandstone with great sucess. Hope this helps.

Steve, I've got some questions, if you can bear with me.
Does the 1-shot seem to be build up on the surface only or can you note a large amount of absorbtion?( maybe noticeable at the edges of a piece) To me this would be one hell of a nice property.
Are you using the harder in your paint?

I use OneShot on sand stone.

For a different effect, try using an airbrush. The thinned paint absorbs into the stone, giving it a stained appearance, with the grain still visible. Lay on an extra coat or two and ya get a solid shiny finish, like you would when using a regular brush. I've used a multitude of colors with great success.

Today, I'm painting sandblasted patio stones, memorial markers, using Rust-Oleum Black Satin spray paint. Works great and dries fast.

Santo,

We have used 1-shot black out of the can with no hardeners. I have never seen much evidnece of absorption but I bet if you thinned it you might especially with sandstone. Hope that answers your questions.
