My first impresion with the term was very rewarding(1997), it was just all around, everywhere I turned !!

Most,(includeing myself) thought it too be "hello/goodby" nothing more.
How wrong I was !

Aloha is a spirit(not just refined to these beautifull Islands) it is a practise, a way of life different then we experiance elsewhere.

It is sharing closeness, it is a smile to friend or stranger, it is an open hand and open heart, consideration beyond the norm, to give when your in a posistion to receive.

Driving a car on this Island was the first sign of Aloha for me, folks stop courtesely, for you to cross, turn enter, exit.
Now that gets you noticing, then you start to feel it more then see it !!

So, I would like to suggest we(all over the world)
Start living a little Aloha, it works!!

Not sayin its the answer, but certainly a process that will help !!
Can't say I'm always relaxed and in controll, but I have gained a little ground since discovering this, give it a try !! Its free

From us-to you !!

Roger [Wink] p.s. maybe a new symbol is in line here
A leigh or the "hang loose" ,maybe a grass skirt for the ladies??

Thank God, I thought you were saying Goodbye again! [Big Grin]

I lived on Big Island 6 years, & can say that the driving over here on Maui is not our best expression of Aloha. I miss Big I sometimes.

Keep the spirit everyone!

Thanks Roger!
Like other "suggestions" such as...do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
They require ACTIONS of respect,humility,empathy,
and un-selfishness.
I also wish the Love one another concept was the rule, rather than the option.
Perhaps the Sign at the entrance of Main Street to Lettterville needs to be REPAINTED!
It seems the faded out letters reading"Please leave your egos outside"could use some freshening up.
Wonder if we could find any sign people willing to give a little of themselves for the betterment
of the community?
Maybe a "Sign Maker Wanted" post is in order?

ALOHA
