Wow Cheryl, sounds like a fun day! The Butler Gold CD is on my wish list, but my taxes here come first.
I just finished up mags and directional signs for a wedding. The Church is new so the parents want signs on the main highway so folks don't get lost. The mags are for the "Honeymoon Vehicle" a pickup. I get a lot of those as the boys don't like the groomsmen messin' with their truck. But this one is for my step grandson and he said make them pretty for my bride. Ain't he sweet? So I had fun making full color, cut out mags for someone special.
Next I get started on mags for my real estate agent and some riders for signs. Anyone want to but 5 acres in Louisiana?

Are you making any signs for the Strawberry Festival?

Ahhh Cheryl...a breath of fresh air!

We are working on glueing up a 7'x3' cedar sign.
I am also working on 3 sign designs (Fun) also..airbrushing the background on a B&B sign (nice fade from the center out) Have an appointment with a client to finalize the main entrance sign for a nursery. Starting work on a fat-bob split tank for an OLD harley (more FUN!!!)
I just don't know what to do with the rest of the day! [Smile]

I bet that cedar smells great, Jackson!

If you aren't already using their product, you might want to check these guys out . (ND GRAPHICS distributes their product in Canada...highest quality you will find anywhere.)

I spent all morning clicking on Jon Astons post... "DO NOT CLICK HERE". I'm positive the very next click will lead to magnificent discoveries and wealth untold. Then I'm gonna go to the casino!

Seriously, I'm clearing my desk, paying some bills, having lunch and doing some errands before I get into assembling and painting my latest dimensional project.

An Airbrushed portrait of two of the most beautiful Sisters I have ever seen.

But its not a money maker!
I am doing the work so they can have the picture and I get to use it in my Portfollio..

After that its been slow.

Spring is coming and the customers come out!

Crossing my fingers [Roll Eyes]

I've been filling out my registration for the Bullboard and getting ready to fax in my Letterville taxes. Hmmmmm, worked on generating some convex bevels for a few of my favorite fonts, and had some lunch. Exciting day ,no?

Signs1st. was a busy place today... we did a 4ftx40ft mdo sign, lettered the back of a pick-up, installed lettering on 2 showroom windows, edge printed some lex edge which arrived from ND Graphics yesterday, Great Service, ordered it 4:30 pm, arrived 9:00 am the next morning, I can't get material like that from local suppliers some times. We installed 2 small 1x8ft signs, sold some banner work for tommorrow, measured up, for an install of some dibond 3-d lettering for a client. Oh we also finished a van lettering job. We did some decals, sold a display, and did a 3ftx4ft allumalite sign, I hope tommorrow goes as good...and we priced up some corex signs, and took in a few more orders...

Hey all...

First I went to the shop at 7:00 am and had coffee. A couple of cigarettes, more coffee, and some chatting with my neighbor. More coffee followed by another cigarette. Had lunch. Sat around drinking coffee. Had another couple of smokes ,then drank a couple cans of pepsi. Went home at 3:30 pm. [Wink]

Hahahahahahahaha! Too busy to really think about it... LOL!

Have a great one!

Been on tha road for the last week or so,...Its out the door at 6 then a 2 hr commute to tha track. Once there I actually have to paint just about anything and everthing there. You name it & it has a sign on it,....walls,scoreboards,the pavement,in between the pavement on concrete,if ya can see thru it it has a banner attached, the grass even is painted with ads. Then all these folks are gonna bring up all these lettered vehicles probably one or 2 out of several hundred contenders is going to want one of them lettered on tha spot.Oh yea I have to have enuf signs for crowd control too there's gonna be spectators, alot of them,...somehow maybe sumhow I can paint an acre & a half of real estate, leap a few small buildings(stopping to spruce up the masonry),Hang untold numbers of banners,5 or 6 billboards, several hundred yards of retaining walls, letter a coupla event vehicles temporarily. Hopefully none of them folks practicin is gonna hit the wall or an engine explode in the bleach boxes or in a turn somewhere nearby while we are painting.Sometimes it's not so bad because we get to work on rigging or even a lift once inna while and that stuff happens a 'lil further away! Just another normal spring rush here in "hubcap heaven".

Massive lettering (Auto wrap style) on a Hummer. Lots of inset panels, large steel plate hinges, excess bolts & rivets, & untold other fun contortions. Pic to come.

Also trying to keep a carpenter busy on some remodel work on my new house, as well as the plumber fixing the water main we "found" in the yard yesterday doing fence work. (Never knew "Homeowner" was a full time job, but I'm not complaining)

Worked on putting a small billboard back up after high winds this weekend took it down. Whittling away at cutting rubber for a 30 sheets of sign foam job. Picked up granite tile for a couple of sandblasted gold leaf entry signs.

The wind is blowing up a hurricane, it's raining like a preacher peeing on a flat rock, and I'm running around like a chicken with his legs cut off trying to get some sample boards ready for my wood/marbling demo at L.A. Trade-Tech the day after tomorrow. I only have outside to do all this in. Naturally, nothing is going quite right, I can't find half the tools I need, forgot how to do some of the marbles I was set to show - in other words, it's a normal day here.

Well might make a small bit of money today but mostly I'll be doing some samples of painted letters on awning material for a regular customer. He's having about 20 agents from around the country come into the factoey next week.
I am trying to educate them about the various levels of signwork possible on the material.
I am also getting my design ready a glue chipping and acid etching project (samples only) [Smile] [Smile]

enjoy your day
