It depends on your orientation. You can probably get a little more than 22" one way, the other way is only limited by how your vinyl spools off of the roll on a long run. On long runs (unless you use sprocket feed) with a pinch roller, your chances of the vinyl shifting or running crooked through the rollers become greater.

If you tile it, you can go pretty well as big as you want. I think the size limit (corel 9) is around 144 feet.
