Been doing too much experimentation with little luck so I finally decided to post it here with hope of some info. I am looking for some advice on what type of adhesive to use for outdoor signage, what I am gluing are cutout PVC letters to MDO. I have tried epoxy, plastic-weld, liquid nails but to no real success. What are you guys using for something like this? Any info for general adhesives would be great too! Thanks in advance...

I normally just use clear 100% silicon adhesive. I've not had a failure in 15 years.

Epoxy or 100% silicon. Both have worked well for us.

Another vote for VHB (Very High Bond) tape and 100% Silicone here..
Actually, unless your sign is REALLY heavy you dont need VHB, regular double sided tape from Wal Mart will be fine.
The tape holds the pieces together while the silicone cures. After a while (several years) the tape will disintegrate and leave just the silicone behind.
Here's a pic of a job I did a couple years ago.. 10'x5' sheets of glass secured to the aluminum window framing using.. you guessed it.. VHB and silicone. I did the design and engineering on all the glass and aluminum. A little 1/2" wide bead of silicone around the glass is enough to support over 2,000 pounds but the glass itsself was only 800 pounds.
Now I do feel stupid... Got tons of the stuff layin around under my table, use it to seal the edges of mdo before prime and paint... Geez, that'll save me about a hundred trips to the hardware store for more glue! Thanks!
