Ok... I tried what we talked about on the phone and the only way I can get my "post reply" to show is by hitting the back button.

No matter how long I wait it won't post til I do that!

Is that what ya wanted to know?

Am I the only one having this problem???

If I add to a post - no matter how many times I hit the back button I can't get out of the post and back to the BB - I have to reload.

Well I couldn't login today no matter what I tried. I then downloaded Netscape 6.2 and it works again. Or maybe it was something you did on your end Barb? When using IE I still can't login.

And while were on this subject, why did the "smiley guy with the sunglasses" change places with the "thumbs down"? Whenever I post I don't wait for the icons to load, I just click the right hole. Good thing I looked!

Monte, I have the same problem as you. I am using IE v6 with no other problems. Don't think it's a browser issue.

Just over a week ago, we updated to the latest version of UBB. This is the BB program that controls the way The Letterville BullBoard looks and acts.

We were advised that this was a final release and bug free, but so far we've had nothing but problems. Barb's spent hours on the phone with our BB programer, but we are still seeing some weirdness.

Here's a few tips that may or may not help.

1. Make sure your computer date and time are set correctly. We've had 4 people reporting problems logging in and resetting the time and date appears to have fixed their problem.

To check your date and time, double click on the time located at the bottom right of your screen.

2. Update to the latest version of IE. I have no idea why, but there appears to be some issues with older versions of Internet Explorer. This should not be happening, and may in fact be a cookie problem. It may be worth trying until the people at InfoPop can track down the real problem.

3. If you are experiencing problems. please e-mail Barb at barb@letterhead.com. DO NOT RE-REGISTER. This just creates more problems, not to mention work.

We apoligize for any inconvenience caused by this latest UBB version. It's annoying, but the important thing right now is to fix the problem...not the blame. Thanks for your patience.

I'm using IE 4 on WIN98 without the second edition software. I haven't had any problems.

(Thought everybody had been abducted by aliens or sompn)

IE 4.72 and mine is doing the same thing as Monte's, I usually use Netscape but it's total crap now:(. If it ain't broke don't fix it is my motto.

Could it be...that some do not scroll down after proofreading their post, and hit the "HOP TO" button? (not tryin to be a smart butt here, just wondering.)

I remember taking the scenic route to that discovery for a couple of posts...back when I first noticed the issue.

Or, are there bugs and/or shortcomings on particular software regarding the new BB?
