This is an auction I came across on e-bay.
Just curious if this was made by the "Sign Shop" for an employee at the shop or maybe an employee of the park.....

I wonder if this guy is a signmaker????

I thought it was kinda neet.

Wel, I never heard of him, but if he got a commemorative sign from the D. Sign Shop he probably retired from there, and there haven't been very many who have. I sent this on to Carl (the lead in the sign shop) to ask if he knows of him... maybe we'll see.

Ha ha ha - dream on. And I have the winning lottery ticket on it's way, too. I bet "Ol' Tony" already had the thing as long as he could stand it. This has the look of a yard sale/thrift store purchase to me. I betcha Tony retired some years back and is no longer with us. Don't bid too high, it's an ugly sign. Ya know, the first week I worked there we threw out two dumpsters full of old signs, some going back to the 50s and 60s. It hurts to trash a million Ebay bucks like that but you gotta do what the boss says...

Poor Adrienne - missed the boat on Tony's sign. Aparently nobody at the Big D remembers him, I asked Carl and he asked around but we all drew a blank. Such is the fleetingness of fame.
