I am a visiting the website for the first time, a member of the "community" suggested that I give this a try so here it goes... I have an HP large format printer: HP DESIGNJET 450 C. I am using INSPIRE software SCANVEC INSPIRE EXPERT VERSION 1.1r2. It is a 24" roll fed printer and stops printing at 34 inches. I have learned to work around it in my layouts, but I am really hoping to be able to print beyond the limitations of this 34". I have visited the HP website and scrolled throught about 50 possible answers, but nothing matched my specific problem. Any suggestions . . . Your help is appeciated

Check the setting you have in place for media length. I don't know what HP calls it in their manual, but check to see how you set your x and y axis. I had a similar problem with my NovaCut 24. Howard from Graphtec shed some light on it for me. Like you, I had done manual and web site searches.

Have you tried any other software?? I print directly to my hp 3500 from corel 9 longest print so far has been 16'... Spooling takes a while but no problems other than that. Which print driver are you using, I know the 3500 comes with postscript as well as a non postscript driver.

Call HP, I have always found them to be really helpful. I have 2 HP(2500cp & 5000)large format printers. Your problem sounds like a page setup problem. If you have coreldraw, try printing something bigger than 34", when setting up the print look at the print preview and see if the print is being cropped, or try using the hp scaling to print larger files.

Thank you, I will try the coreldraw "test" and see what happens, I know that the spooling in corel for some large files can be a dreadful experience. But for now I am going home to see what is on the stove! I appreciate your reply
