Today was a good day. Nothing earth shattering happened. I didn't make much money today. I didn't even get much done, but it was a great day nonetheless.
My back seems to be getting better. That alone is cause for celebration.
A client paid me in full... he had me wondering for a little while there.
I had a great meeting with another client this morning. Good meeting. This client is the client of my dreams. He gets it. My job is to put vison to his dream. It's not about money on either of our parts... its about the dream we share. It's gonna be a fun project!
I also spent much of the rest of the day getting ready for a big meeting tomorrow with a new client. I suspect it will go much the same way... I've known this client for many years... Its gonna be a fun project.
I also took the time today to dream about our own continuing project. Worked on it a tiny bit too. Today we came one day closer to realizing that dream.
And then this evening I took the girl I've been dating excusively for the last 30+ years out on a date. We held hands the whole way there and through most of the movie after supper. I'm one lucky guy to have Janis! She's my gal! The movie wasn't bad either. (I am Sam)
It was a good day.
I can hardly wait for tomorrow.

Good for you Dan! We all need those days although I suspect that if we really stop and think most days are good. I always say that any day I wake up with all my senses intact, it's a good day! Keep them coming!!!!

Dan,
That's awesome. You reminded me of when I picked my 4 year old daughter up at pre-school yesterday - she looked at me and said "I had a good day today Mommy!"
You gotta love those days. May they be more frequent than few, my friend.

Dan,
I love it when you have a good day, mostly because you share it with us and it sets off a whole series of good days for other folks.
I can see a lot of em, reading your posts and saying, "Good day? What's that?"
It's great you're willing to share and make some of us think about setting our intent to follow suit!
Janis is one lucky gal!

Sounds like the way it's intended to be. Does Janis attend the business meetings with you? Doing it all together is time well used. Thanks for sharing your joys, Dan

Appreciating and celebrating what you have, every day ... sweetens the anticipation for every tomorrow.
Hey, I just made that up! Thanks for the inspiration Dan.
It's so neat that you and Janis still have "google-eyes" for each other!
By the way ... about the movie ... Did you cry?(would you admit it to us if you did?)

Its hard to believe, but today was better than yesterday.
My appoinment delayed until the afternoon. I got to play at Giggle Ridge all morning... sweeping leaves in the sunshine as I kept dreaming over the fence where our second phase/house/studio/shop will be built. I even unlocked the gate and went over there and paced things out a bit.
At noon the person I had a meeting with arrived. The project we were discussing is similar to Giggle Ridge so I took a different approach this time.
Rather than discussing their project innitially I shared our dream for the ridge instead. I walked them through what we had built and described the future of our project to her. In short, I shared what was in my heart with all the passion I could muster.
We then went to the property we were discussing for their project and I explained my vision for that property. I didn't sell anything... just said clearly what I believe.
The meeting(s) lasted 4 hours and went well. To say my client was excited was an understatement.
And the client bought a wonderful lunch too!
Now, after a very fun day we wait and see. This one's gonna be fun!
Janis is wired about all the news... wants to pull out the house plans again for some more revisions. Version 13.2 currently... we'll get it right this time!
And no. I dodn't cry at the movie last night although some movies do make me cry. I am Sam made me resolve to be a fabulous grandpa dan when the time comes... I will be an awesome grandpa. You wait and see!
Tomorrow should be even better yet!
