When Judy Pate heard about Kookaburra coming for an American Letterhead Meet she called me and wanted to extend her trip to Oklahoma by having Katie stay an additional 2 weeks so she could attend John Smiths meet in Georgia.

Once we worked out the details Judy took forged ahead and single handedly made arrangements for hosts, enabling Katie to move all the way from Oklahoma to Georgia and back to OKlahoma.

She contacted each person and coordinated a well orchestrated tour of American Letterheads homes and shops for Katie.

Please take a little time here and give Judy the praise she deserves...SHE DID A REALLY FINE JOB!!!

And I'd venture to say shes as excited as "Kookie"
about this first of what we hope is to be an ongoing exchange program.

Isn't it exciting to see what we really are capable of accomplshing as Letterheads?

Also what a GREAT way for us not attending Fred's
To be able to meet, and show our cordiality to a fellow "head" from Down Under.
Miracles are a labor of Love from MANY people!
(Just take this website for example)
IF the proceeds from the SONGPAINTER cd goes to sponsor"other willing learners"
What a wonderful world this would be!!
I think the AUCTION PAGE would be another good way to raise funds for these sponsorships.
Maybe the elusive COOK BOOK would be another.
Think about it...Products made for the trade, bought by people from the trade,to be used for the betterment and promotion "of the trade"

Whew!! what next?

Judy, we don't usually know what hard work goes on "behind the scenes". You are a special person, anyway, I knew that. Deb

Judy and I first met on a flight to the Belvidere meet several years ago. It was a great meet and the beginning of a great friendship. We're lucky to have such a swell "sister" in the Letterville family.

Judy, thanks for all the extra effort that will change Katie's life and path forever. The relationships certainly outlast the paints.

Pat,

You mentioned a cookbook...are you guys trying to get together a LETTERHEAD cookbook? I own a catering company and my husband is a chef. I'd be happy to help you guys get something put together.

If you wanna chat about it, let me know.

OK, if you put together a cook book,
let me know, and I'll donate a couple
of the firehouse recepies.

OK first you lay out the Bread, then carefully
lay out BBQ chips on the bread, then spread
Catsup and mustard on the other piece. Pickles
are optional. Put the lid on and bake for 10
min. in the oven. and enjoy...

Just kidding..... about the sandwich
but do let me know.

Yes, Monte, I agree. I too have talked to her and she is indeed excited and is putting forth special effort to make Katie's stay here fun, comfortable, and safe.
I met Judy and Roger at Pat's meet and had the honor of having dinner with them. Judy is a kind and generous gal.
Judy, just keep being "You", for you are real.
