A couple of years ago I installed a free program that let's you make free long distance phone calls with your computer. Steve and Barb called me once that way and we had a nice long chat.Clear connection too.
I only had dial up modem at the time, so it didn't work for me to call out.
Now that I have DSL, I'd like to try it again. Anyone using this and can give me a link? Steve, you still using the same one?

A, MSN messenger has it, don't know how well it works. It's under actions.

We use Yahoo Messenger, with DSL connection and it works great. Even allows text and voice at the same time, or you can even hook up a cam. Have also used phonefree.com, when it was free (they now charge for computer to land line calls, computer to computer was still free last time I checked)

Dialpad.com also has a program that ive used and works good even with 56 k dialup...

I've used Dialpad, but with the slow connection speed here in my rural edge of the earth, it didn't work very well...real choppy sound.
