This past weekend I had a visit from a long time ago lady friend, a person who I knew 35 years ago and yet then I had not paid much attention to back then. The visit was breathtaking to say the least, she has been in contact with and has had a lifetime friendship with an ex of mine all these years and I had been in contact with an ex of hers, my friend Michael Saint who I've know since we were teens, both Michael and I were into drag racing back in the days when 200mph was fast.

This visit was set-up some weeks back when Michael asked me to call her as she was going to visit a doctor friend in Seattle and wanted to visit as she was driving.

Totally unexpected, a week early and me at a loss of words, but it was so exciting seeing someone from the sixties when times were really crazy and we all were living in Hollywood California. I was a shirt designer then yet still pinstriped on the side. My girlfriend and I started a business call "Plus More" on Sunset Strip making custom shirts which sold to many show people and rock stars including the Beatles, the Doors and just about everyone else. Pattie was Michael Saints girlfriend and everyone considered Michael the king beacause he lived in a real down to earth castle that even had a moat. Barbara and I made Michaels kings clothing.

During Pattys visit we were slowing reminiscing because I felt that back then I was like a kid in the candy store with so many varieties I never knew what I wanted however, I always knew that friendship is what binds all of us together and just the memories of the times you spend with another person is enough to last a lifetime.

Pattie left this morning for Seattle and may stop back next week depending on the weather but before she left I phoned both Cheryl Nordby and Mike Lavallee and put her in contact with them figuring I'd share my friendship even though I couldn't make it myself so as they might expect a visit from one hell of a lady, my friend Pattie!

That's very cool Joey. I am glad you gave her my numbers and I hope we can get together for coffee while she is in town.

It sounds like she made your day Joey.

What a nice story. It makes you stop and appreciate the really good friends you have.

Have a great day Joey!

Sue

joey...can relate...friendships are made and lost..."good friends" are forever.......and the greatest measure of a person...is by the amount of "good friends" he has.....

Caring relationships are certainly most high in value. Your weekend warms me Joey madden, although I find difficulty believing you were ever young!
