I read today an interesting report of John D. Berry, a contributing editor of the creativepro.com website.

The subject : can the typefaces we see around us on highway signs be turned into usable fonts for general use?

You should read in at http://www.creativepro.com/story/feature/15131.html

Your opinion ?

The other "useable font for general use" was created for the billboard industry as to be readable as you go by up to 12 degrees.
Sometimes over worked, but all and all very useable
