That is one of the models I was considering when I bought mine. I ended up with the Canon Powershot G-1 which I've been very happy with. The long battery life was what swayed me towards the G-1.

Adrienne,have you considerd Cosumer Reports?When I bought my Mavica I was just mainly interested in close ups,and it works just fine.

Adrienne, I have been looking at that camera and the other Camedia which has a 10x optical zoom but only 2.1 megapixel. With me I really want a good zoom and not spend over $500 with good resolution.
I found it in the Minolta Dimage 5 which has 3 megapixels, 7x optical zoom and is available online from $450 to $600.
