Last week I ran across a guy looking to buy a business plan for a sign shop on another bulletin board. Since I have written several business plans for myself and others, I replied. The guy also replied to a post for the sale of a shop in his area. He then e-mailed me back and inquired. I explained my experience with, business, sign related business, financials, education, and business plans.
He e-mailed back wanting to see my business plan for my sign business. (?Nah-Nah-Nah?)
I e-mail back that he was asking for a sign business plan and that was being negotiated.
He writes a one liner and asks the price. I give him a basic and deluxe price. Nothing
I shoot him a draft, I did for buying a coffee shop earlier this year. Nothing.
I wait a few days and e-mail an inquiry about his thoughts, nothing.
After day or so, I send a reminder, by inquiring his level of expertise, experience he can apply to the sign business, creative capabilities, business experience.....(when people say Yada-Yada it makes me sick)
No relpies as yet so I quess this must have been an investor minded person reading some of the sales pitches for the sign business.
It bugs me because this is the very same type of behavior that would irk the s**t out of most of us and probally this guy too.

I've been on that side of it. I always got better result being honest. If someone didn't have the time, I undersand. But the words were plain English, "Do you know where I can buy a Business Plan?"

Hmmmmmm....think you have been had!
Evidentaly the draft that you sent him was all that he needed!

Drafts are like sketches, DON"T let them out of your sight, without a down payment!

It's all fun and games till somebody wants to get paid. You always wonder about the people who evaporate like that. Were thay born rude, or is it the annonymity of the internet that makes them that way?
