I have switched over to Windows XP and I’m having trouble with getting my plotter to cut properly. I have also put Corel 9 on the system since I heard that ver8 had some problems. I am cutting a roland camm 1 cx-24 directly from corel and instead of cutting it is just trying to do it by a series of dots, if you get me.
Help Me Somebody Please

Miles, have you tried to run the compatability wizard, found in the accesories portion of programs.. you can run corel 9, then in a windows 98 mode... it sounds like a driver problem for sure...

Miles...I am using Win 2000 not XP but there are couple of things to try. First of all with the win NT/2000/XP driver you have to assign no fill and a hairline outline. What I do is assign the hairline outline in the colour that the vinyl is. This is different from previous drivers where you could assign a colour AND an outline. In the new driver, if you have a colour fill and an outline it will cut both the edge of the fill AND the outline.
Also...If you just installed Corel 9 make sure that it IS a hairline outline that you are assigning. Anything thicker than that can result in "dotted" lines or missing segments.

and old paint cuts right along just like he has done since window 95B came out and corel 7....sometimes newer aint better!!! mike you shoulda got removeable hard drive bay setup, this way you can have a hard drive with XP and experiment with it but still have your older 95/98 hard drive that you have been using. this way you get to play with the new stuff but still have the functioning other OS that you can work from.

One thing to try if what dave said doesn't work...
Go to the outline dialog, and set the outline to the smallest possible (.004 points), this is actually the smallest outline there is, and is smaller than Corel's default 'hairline' outline.
