As I don't have a 3M color chart to compare colors, I need some help matching a color.
Specs call for 3M # 3630-71 shadow grey. I use Avery vinyls.
Anybody have an idea?

Pat..I don't have the latest 3M color book but in mine Shadow grey is 230-71 translucent. I don't see anything in the Avery color charts (the latest) that is close. If you have a pantone book the pantone colore reference on the 3M chart is 409c.

Thought that sounded familiar.
Check with Gregory. It's in their catalog as 3m translucent series, page 8.
