I just use the recipe on the back of the can of pumpkin, substitute dark brown sugar for the white, add a little bit of molasses and double, or triple all the spices!
That's all there is to it!
Dad's stuffing is my favourite:
celery, onions, butter and salt, pepper and sage
Bell's seasoning, chicken broth
stale bread cubes,chopped apples, walnuts,
raisins and orange.
I throw in a handful of craisins too!
And a long time family tradition for us is whipped potatoes with parsnips!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Below is a recipe that I picked up a couple years ago off the web. EXCELLENT COOKIES!
Enjoy!
(Recipe may be halved.)
2 cups butter
4 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
2 cups sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal**
24 oz. chocolate chips
2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 8 oz. Hershey Bar (grated)
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
2 tsp. vanilla
** Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder.
Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey Bar and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 112 cookies.

It was still a wonderful turkey day...we were thankful that year it wasn't a rat.
Ahhh...I love those Thanksgiving memories of holidays past!
