I have just one small part of a logo going onto 2 banners that has to match an olive green(pms 613). I haven't found any vinyl to match so I am going to try painting. I've painted plenty of backgrounds on MDO but haven't mixed many colors or painted on banners before. What paint would you use to mix the color for application on vinyl banners? One-Shot?

First time I did this, I soon found out that my banner was NOT enamel receptive !!! What a mess !!
So, first of all, you have to ensure your banner is both vinyl and enamel receptive. If not, you have to use a vinyl primer on the spot you want to paint. Then, just mix your OneShot to the PMS color and paint as usual. Or, if it is a small spot, just paint your vinyl the desired color, cut and apply. Just like eatin lettuce..... nuttin to it !!

To make olive green in whatever paint, start off with imitation gold, add white and medium brown mix then add black til it turns olive. Many stripers use this combination to make creme to match BMW's creme leather interior, then add too much black which turns the creme to an olive drab.

Thanks for the help!
The paint formula worked great, I adjusted a little and used Chrome Yellow instead of Imitation Gold and it was right on. The tips saved who knows how long in trial & error mixing. Thanks again!

Hey, you know, this hand painting thing is kind of cool...maybe it'll catch on...
