I would like to drive a 4b plotter with coreldraw 9. Is there a windows based driver or third party software that will make this happen? I have an lmk link and the card that goes to a com port.

no way ho-za! gerber wants your money!!!!!! only thing that will run them is GERBER...and they made it so it stays that way...so you buy a 4b for $500...then you get nailed $4000 for gerber advantage, if you didnt get card with it theres another couple $100.......saw a new ROLAND CX-24 FOR $1450.00....and it will cut right from corel...nothing else required....do the math...

Old Paint, your wrong. I run flexi and will be running a 4B this weekend once I install a Uni link card. I confirmed this with Flexi tech support. Sign lab also supports the 4B. I'm not sure of corel.

Thats funny,
It seems Flexi owners drive 4B's.
Corel will not cut anything directly, you will need to find out if Winplot or sign tools has any driver that will work.
Or maybe we have a resident Corel user that is plotting to a 4B

Thanks Joe. I had Gerber GA, then bought Omega because they said that it would open 50 file extensions. Wellllllll, it opens itself most of the time. I'm getting rid of it and either doing Corel or signlab or flexi, whatever looks best. I'm already using Coreldraw for my sublimation business, so I thought that if I could make corel run a plotter, that might do for both deals. Where did you see the 24" plotter that you mentioned? I do have the LMK link and all the stuff to run the 4B, but I was kinda hoping for windows drivers for this 4B for a while.......

try signlabs shortcut for corel it should werk great for both driving the 4b & cutting files from corel thats what it's written for.

if iam not mistaken the 4b is comm port only. and guys i didnt mean that nothing else will run a gerber(if you buy $$$$ the right adaptor card)but you wont cut from corel to 4b. corel used HPGL which is read as a printer file(has to be connected as a printer thru the printer port. seen CX-24 ROLAND at www.jsisigns.com
