I'm looking for some one who has successfully created text with bitmap image fills using gerber omega. Gerber faxed me the instructions for graphic advantage users, but I can't even get the learning exersize sample to work right. I'm trying to fill lettering with a woodgrain image and also use an outline with a shade.

Thank You

Mike,

If what your looking for is below, than look no more, here is “someone.” The part you’re not going to like is that I have less than five minutes from starting this piece to posting this message. (Before the edit below)

Is what Gerber sent you FastFact Document #4254? If so, you would need additional steps due to the drop shadow. After your step 11, follow steps below.

12. With the regular pointer finger (Not the green pointer), select the outline and apply the drop shadow with the desired amount.
13. With the regular pointer finger, select the original outline, copy, and paste back. The pasted outline remains selected.
14. While keeping the pasted outline selected, also select the drop shadow.
15. Switch to the green pointer, and fill the shapes with the desired color. Combine shapes, turn cuts off, bring to front.
16. If desired, select the drop shadow with the shape pointer, turn cuts on, and do a bleed cut from the shape menu.

Did this help at all? Or just make it worse? Once you “get it” it becomes clear as mud!
