Who uses bandanna banners, or the like? These are the rolls of hemmed banner material with two grommets every two feet so you can cut it and split the difference. How well does this product work? I was considering it as an option for '1-day' banners.
I also see that Ameriban offers a similar product to the bandanna called Insta-Rolls, and you can actually get a more high quality banner material if you like.
My only concern would be the stitching ever few feet (in the case of the ameriban insta-rolls anyway, not sure about the bandannas, they're 'thermal welded' whatever that means), it seems it would interfere with the vinyl application.

Thermal welding is a fully satisfactory process. The machinery was displayed at ISA in Las Vegas last year. You don't see a lot of it because sewing machines are cheap.
Bandana Banner has an entertaining website that is worth a one time visit.

Have never tried the stuff but have seen in magz. A couple things bug me about it... if it already has gromets and is rolled up, are there gromet impressions every few inches? (I see it when I roll lots of finished banners) ... plus it kind seems to limit size to work with.
IMO you would be better of to just get a roll of vinyl and a gromet machine. Then sheet to desired size.
We order the big heavy hemed ones when needed ... but have rolls -n- rolls of different vinyls to cut to customers desired size(partials/leftovers from print jobs) Hems aren't always needed for the one time "sale" type crap.

We use banana banner often. I don't know if it's the same manufacturer, but it's the same principal. Works great when the application suits it...say a 2' x 8' banner for a trade show booth. We haven't had any problems, no customer complaints, and it saves having to order in the right size banner each time. We don't do too much banner work, so it fits the bill for us. When the application requires something else, we order the banner accordingly.

I've used Bandana Banner for 2 years here, love it. The material is 10 oz, and seems to hold up very well. I like it alot, very handy stuff. It cannot be painted on unless it is treated 1st with waterborne primer, or somthing simaliar. The one thing you have to watch is that they advertise the roll as 36" wide, its only 33". (because of the hem I guess)

I've used "Bandana Banner." Didn't like the banner material for vinyl application. You can't do an odd length banner with grommets in the corners.
Anyone want a 22" wide, white roll for $10 in NJ? Cash and carry!

We use bandana banner (or whatever... LOL!)a lot. We carry all three sizes. we also have a roll of 48" unhemmed vinyl.
We like the premade kind. It is very handy to have them around. They fill the needs we have.

So let me get this straight:
You cut the roll in between the grommetts, then you use banner tape to hem it? Or do you just leave it like you cut it?

Banana banner is wonderful. There is hardly ever any waste, however we do have a manual grommet machine and a sewing machine handy, just in case we need an odd size. I find that having two grommets every two feet also enhances the hanging options. It comes in standard sizes, on rolls, and in several colors. An outstanding 10 oz. product. Hey, I have used the 36" (act 33") and the 24 in (ACT 22') quite often. Its 10 oz material, and it takes vinyl very well. I made a banner for a local night club advertising their Karaoke and DJ on the weekends. It's been up outside for about 2 months, and still looks like the day I put it up. Looks like its standing up to the wind and rain very well. and now for the snow...
I also made a 22" banner for a trade show booth. Its been put up nearly every weekend and re rolled up about a dozen times, and I haven't had any complaints yet.
I like the stuff, I made a small rack to hold all 3 sizes im my shop. they don't take up a lot of room either. Only bad thing is, I ordered white, and in the box they put a bandana volor chart, and rolled it up in the roll. The color bled off of the printed colorchart, onto the banner, I was unable to get this color off of the banner material.
