No contest - I'd go Summa. With Summa you get good stuff and a great price with real people that arent going anywhere anytime soon. It's also one of the big 3 or 4 cutter brands, so if you ever decided to sell it, you could make your money back.

But - how often do you see a Summa for sale?

Like you, I've looked high and low at cutters. One of these days, hopefully sooner than later, I'm going to buy a new and bigger cutter to help out the ol' Roland. After reading tons of reviews, tech sheets and articles, after talking to all sorts of owners and sales people, the Summa's come out on top by a wide margin. You just cant beat'em.

I was in the position of buying a new plotter a little over a year ago. Everything here was Gerber. I bought a Summa T750 with OPOS etc and am really glad I did. I did look at many others including Mutoh as Gerber were selling Mutoh machines with Gerber badges.

I believe both companies are from Belgium or that they are made there at least mine was. Funny thing when I was driving trucks round Europe I always wondered what good came out of Belgium apart from bureaucracy (EU) . We always knew we could drive fast there to get the ferries home to the UK with little chance of being pulled. They do make good plotters! I don't know anything about the model you mention. PS you have a good-site!
