I just received a call from Troy. He was getting out of a chair yesterday, when he heard something crack, and almost fell down. It turns out that he cracked a vertebrea in his back.
He is pretty low on spirits right now and I think he could use a little cheering up. I don't think he will have access to a computer while he is in, so e-mail or replies here won't work very well. However if anyone would like to drop him a note, he is at...

Any and all support will be greatly appreciated.

I just talked to him and he said between 7-9 pm may be a good time to call so you can talk to him..hard to say though, he's got a lot on his plate right now, with IV's n all. He's still waiting on a specialist to come through so they can decide how to repair his injury. Gluein him back together is what they're thinkin of doin, so far.
If any of you believe in miracles or care to pray...now would be a real good time, before the demoral wears off hehehe!

Hey guys,
CJ just e-mailed me with an idea to try to raise a little grocery money for Troy and Penny. If anyone would like to help out you can send the money to me, and I will hand deliver it to them.
They have kinda been struggling to get by lately, and now Troy will not be able to work for quite a while, and I am sure they will have some pretty steep medical bills to take care of.
I don't like to ask for peoples hard earned money, and Troy would never ask, but those of you that know him know that he would pitch in right now if one of us were in his position.
Thanks in advance.

That was going to be my next question...
I was thinking about IF 100 people sent 20 bucks (for instance) that's 2000 bucks!!! Not hard for us to do and think of how much that would help with the household bills and all right now.
Any amount is good!!

I was just thinking last night I hadn't seen him on here lately and was wondering how he was making out with his back. My thought are with him.

I like seeing people post how much because it gives everyone else something to consider. However, going with Adrienne's idea, if 100 people send $1.00 that's $100.00. Every little bit will help and be appreciated. Troy will never know who sent how much, other than the ones posting (if he looks later).
This is a good chance to help a fellow letterhead out of a tough bind that a lot of us have gotten close to.

Sorry to hear about Troy. He's got such darned luck. I'm in for contributing.
A cracked vertebrea has got to hurt! Will his new nick be Metal Back or the Bionic Letterhead ?

Just a side note...
Some people have been sending me e-mails on this matter. If you send an e-mail, PLEASE put something about Troy in the subject heading, because if I don't recognize an address I will delete it, but I do check the subject first.
Thanks again

$20 is in the mail. Does he like chocolate? Will they let him have it in the Hospital? Some places are quite strict, but I'd love to send him some to cheer him up. Let me know, Don. Bomba-Dear

Jackie,
He must like chocolate, cause anybody that don't like chocolate CAN'T be a friend of mine.

Since I don't know this cat Troy, and can't tickle his feet, or make jive phone calls, I will send my pal Andrew Jackson hope he can get a smile out of him. Tell him hurry up and get that back straight, we need him in Fresno to help set up 20 tiers of scaffold. Posted by Jackie B (Member # 186) on :
