I just saw the first tv commercial from Time/Life selling Christmas music. Is it me or is the season starting a little earlier every year?!

I am truely surprised that Retailers haven't adopted "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" as their "official anthem" during this upcoming celebration of His birth. You mentioned music Glenn. Have you noticed how more and more tunes that are considered "seasonal", have less and less to do with Christ's birth? They even have cats meowlling out them tunes, and chipmunks too.I wonder if they're part of the Time/Life collection.

Wal Mart here starts putting out Christmas stuff in August. It really used to get under my skin and yes I've been labled a scrooge more than once. It doesn't bother me any more since I've seperated myself from all the commercial madness.
You know.. some people really ENJOY Christmas, and want it to last as long as possible.. yeah yeah.. I know.. it's sick to like figuring out what gifts you want to give your loved ones, and maybe even shopping all year long and saving them for the special occasion... And all those treats and goodies, cookies, feast foods, all that stuff is so ... overindulgent... And decorations.. why... it's disgusting to promote the idea of Christmas for too long a time... Loving your fellow humans is just too tiresome to do for more than 3 weeks a year! Why are Scrooges always male? LE

Y'know...it makes ya wonder...why IS it so bad to start early?
Christmas is spoze to be fun!
Is it so terrible to have a Christmas spirit in your heart all year round?
I think we need it early this year more than anytime.

George! BARKING JINGLE BELLS........AWWWRIGHT!!!
We leave our Christmas lights up all year long...we have so many of them on the trees that if we took them down, we'd never get 'em back up.

Ken, I think a more appropriate anthem for Xmas would be Pink Floyds' "Money" Posted by Si Allen (Member # 420) on :
I am the 1st to have Xmas lights on in my neighborhood! Of course, I never take them down!
