its started!!!!

the 8th national Australian letterheads meeting has begun

sorry there wont be any headtv 'live' as it happens folks, however we will be broadcasting the video taken over hte weekend later through the week.

a few of us turned up yesterday to help our host Ron Bidwell set things up, that ment that after lunch in the pub and a few warming drinks (gees its nippie down here) the boys set of to coat out the dunny that bushie (jon butterworth) is going to wack a mural on.

Ron has had a few corrective services helpers in the past weeks and our lot looked more dangerous than the 'real' villians

if you'd like to check out just whats happening in Portland, and your in Oz, come on round

for those of u up-oveer, check out

we're back

kinda lost the plot there a bit, sorry but was having soooo much fun i couldnt walk the 2 blocks to the puter to play with ya's.

did however walk down to the park with devo n darren, lissa ace n the kids to have a bit of fun and guess what happened?
we got a suprise vistit from sergent plod and his merry men

well we almost got bed n breakfast for free

the walls, had to be a dozen signs at last count, were for the most part all finished when we left portland
we even managed a attendees wall at the last min thanks to a rush of adrenalin from a few of the fella's

it never ceases to amaze me just how much fun and warm feelings we take home from every meeting...

bill, it warmed up on saturday a little and by sunday everyone was getting sunburnt, ya get that
i figure you should maybe stow away next year on a nice safe ocean liner and come down for a little R n R

ticks, we all spoke of you and everyone wished you could have been well enough to be there with us bro, ahh well mate there will always be next year.... how does cairns sound? or shell harbour?
or your place? i can almost hear denise in the background hehehe

and linda, now you have a whole year to get your passport in order.... you are expected in 2002, ok?

my face is still sore from all the smiling

cheers (yes it does rhyme with beers)

Great pics Gail,
Wish I coulda been there but I locked myself in the spraybooth and painted the ute.
(Spray booth definition: blue polytarps strung strategically and the floor hosed down)
Maybe next year.
But then again I suppose I could always get back in touch with the Ipswich City Council and arrange that meet i was thinking about...
Nice one,
David
