Thanks Rob,

I run a small design studio here, we do Chalkart, Signs (Vinyl) , murals, cartoons caricatures, illustration, design, stickers (decals) ,

plus we are into quirky ideas and concepts, hence our name Artistic Design Solutions...cafe/ restaurant/Hotel themes, sculpture and Fabrication..

But first and foremost I am an artist .

Gday Peter,
Glad to see there is still a living to be made from chalkboards. (or at least a partial living)
Pick a nickname and hit the green button on the left hand side of your browser marked "chat" in case you haven't already.
By that way Rob, we haven't seen "bullartist" on chat for a while either. Its the least you could do after sledging my new ute
Apropos of nothing at all.

Welcome Peter!!!

We used to have a chalkboard artist here a long time ago, anyone know what happened to him?

Anyway...we would love to see some of your work.

If you need help posting pics here let us know we would be glad to help you.

Used to be a couple of gals from Oz that did chalkboards I saw in Signcraft mag years ago, I sure wanted to try that.

Have fun!

Adrienne

Hi Peter
A warm welcome from the UK .
I include chalkboards as one of my various 'hobbies' and find it satisfying to spend time in pubs and clubs -and it dont cost ME money !
I look forward to sharing some pics

Cheers Terry

Peter,

There seem to be some similarities between your portfolio and mine, I have been told I am not a signwriter but an artist............um, I'd prefer to think of myself as a swinewriter first and as Dave hinted, a "Bullartist second.
My full shop name is actually "Rob Clark Design Solutions" I registered that one day in a rush of blood to the head but have shortened it to Rob Clark Signs for expediency.

Dave, I have logged into chat frequently and never seem to catch anyone, maybe I am missing the target somehow.
As for sledging the ute...............sorry mate, but I was tryin to be nice =)

Dave,

Your right about the Partial living !..I began chalkart in Adelaide about 1990, On the coat tails of a Chalkart pioneer by the name of Andrew Mcllelland, I went pro in 1995 and because the market was beginning to taper at that time
Andrew sold out..That left me with the Lions share in Adelaide..there are approx 4 or 5 other Legit Chalboard artists in Adelaide

( though the market is quite limited due to the size of Adelaide 1,000,000 pop, I believe most of them have other jobs to tide them thru')

with perhaps a bunch of backyarders and some annoyers...

We specialise in all types of Chalkart including 3D, Kinetic, Neon & optical fibre.

Then there is our design aspects which include, restauarant and cafe makeovers inc colour consulting.....

I will endeavour to upload some of my images of chalkart and other illustration work, perhaps even a few signs !!!

as long as someone can help me by instruction...that would be appreciated...

Regards

Peter

Rob, (and Peter for that matter)
Try using the green Chat button on the bullboard main page to get you to the channel.
The channel has moved since you were there last I think, and if you're still using a Mac then there should be someone there to help you get ircle set up.
Best times are midday our time and about 9-10:30pm onwards unless its past your bedtime.
See you there,
David

Hi Peter, welcome to the board. Don't apologise about Adelaide's population, we only have half that here
I don't do any chalkboards, I prefer to leave them to those who specialise in them. I do most menu boards in vinyl with blackboard vinyl squares for chalking prices. Not the same thing I know. I'll be in Adelaide in a couple of weeks, hope it's not too hot there!
