Hi Heads,

NO, I'm staying in Letterville!

I'm moving my business out of the house after 21 years and into a commercial building complex.

The owner of the building builds 90 residential units (houses) per year, and told me he had way more work to send my way than he would ever get back in rent from me. So this guy is my favorite new customer, and my landloard.

He was getting his work from a franchise shop and is fed up with their service and workmanship.

Here is the shop. It's not real big, but more room than I have now and its in a nice area.
The building is 24 foot deep which is somewhat shallow for pulling in a box truck...but it will do for now.

Letterhead meet here? hmmmm, well, its might be too small for a group more than 30. Well just have to wait and see how I use up the space!

So Cindy will finally have the house to herself! Wow! (Yeah I know...she'll be manning the office for you! hehehe!) Let her put her desk in front of the window there so she can warn ya when the customer shows up to pick up the signs yer tryin to finish, hehehe!

Seriously Dave, Congratulations! That looks like a sweet starter shop! You're blessed to have enough business to warrant an outside shop and I'm happy for you! Good work dude! I hope you outgrow it soon!

Please tell Cindy I said hello!

Couldn't happen to a better guy!
As for a letterhead meet, call it an OPEN HOUSE.
Only took me 1 year from when I first moved into my new shop. Also 24' wide
With proper utilization of space, you can even get a nice little display area.
Plan your opening when it is warm, and the influx of people will be able to "spill" outside.
Congrats and can't wait for the meet.

Wow, I'd never guess that building is only 24' deep looking at the front. Nice looking shop, Dave!

Cooool!

Hey Dave, Can I paint the door? I'm thinking, Make it look like the garage door is already open...Yeah thats it!

I also have a cool cukoo bird that can pop out of that upper shutter every time a customer walks in...the possibilites are endless.

PS Make sure you put pads on those yellow posts - trust me on that one.

Good luck.

Very clean and professional looking Dave! Best wishes!

Now the promises your new landlord/customer made... didja get it in writing? I had this type of agreement with a biz awhile back, promising loads of return biz. It didn't happen. I moved out after my lease was up. I hope things work out for you as promised.

You will learn so much with your storefront, all pros and cons. I have no regrets trying it out myself.
