I'm starting a Durango tomorrow with a design that I know will probably need wet application. My question is, just how much Rapid Tac do I spray on? And, do I just spray it on the vehicle or do I spray it on the back of the vinyl or both. Should it be so wet that it just literally falls off the vehicle? Also, when working compound curves, is wet better than dry? And, if wet is better, then what do you do when the vinyl refuses to stick in the curve? This happened on a small area I was working on last night. Rapid Tac is a great product but if anybody can help me, I'd appreciate it. God bless.

Hi Sharon...I am not an expert on wet app. as I seem to do most of mine dry. But when I do use Rapid Tac I squirt it on the vehicle. You don't need to go overboard as it will just be wasted. Use a good sprayer to get an even coverage. Also I have found if you spray the vinyl....if there are small letters... sometimes this will make them slip and slide and you will not have a straight install. Good Luck....and have fun! Well I'll give you some info. here(also some good tips on www.rapidtac.com )
First, don't clean the substrate with "anything" but Rapid tac, tacII, or Rapid Prep. And only use a "cheap paper towell" from the grocery store!!!
Now,spray it on the substrate, or both substrate and vinyl) depending wheather you are inside or outside,cold or hot day, etc. If you spray too little, you will have dry spots where the vinyl will "trap air" (hence bubbles) in finished job.
If your vinyl "slips around" while applying(its supposed to) until you get it posistioned and SQUEEGEE IT DOWN TIGHT !! you must get some experience at this, it will become 2nd nature after a few times !!
Just "don't clean with window cleaners, paint solvents,cloth rags,industrial paper towells, and you will have good results !!
