I have been thinking about a new computer for a few months now.

I had bought Gateway computers previously, but when I needed a small bit of help, one of two tech calls I have made, they said I had to reload Win 95 as the machine was shipped with that and they would not support Win 98SE even though it was released within months of buying the machine. That really pissed me off as I felt it was a cop out on Gateways side..to stop giving tech support on "updated" machines.

Most modern boxes today are shipped with Windows 2000, if you think about the Dell Dimensions or there other workstations.

I talked to a Gerber tech here in Sweden, who said Gerber were no longer interested in GA users and that there was no support for GA, and that it was not approved for Win 2000.

That makes me angry....When you read the farcical posts of recent times, with regards Omega why upgrade to an inferior product. I see no references to Omega in SignCraft or SignBusiness in recent months.

For once in my life I would like to order a new machine with the current operating system and not be asking for Win 98SE in 2001.

Just wondered who else was running GA 6.0 and on what Windows version.

I know ME is a no no. THe same question could also be put to Signlab 5 users`.

Thanks

Henry,

I've spoken to some in the past who are using Win2000 with GA without any problems.

You may want to post your question at www.4edgetalk.com as well and see what responses you get.

Can, we as a group start a list of programs that will and will not work with Windows 2000 or 98?

I'm interested in the in is the Flexi 5.8 will run on 2000. I know I've run it on 98.

I'll monitor this post and make a spreadsheet.
