Has anybody got experience using a Calcomp 1043GT converted for cutting vinyl?Likes dislikes?Problems I may be headed for?Any info is appreciated. Thanks Steve

I converted a 1044GT calcomp once... Great for doing pen plots... Several areas I had problems with, one being there isn't really any kind of head pressure adjustment, just making the knife go deeper and that really wears on the middle of the bar that the head rides on. Second problem was converting from Calcomps proprietary language, PCL to HPGL. I bought the card from Calcomp (now defunct) to convert and it worked, whew. Other than that, it worked, but not reliably. I ended up buying a Roland, and loved it the minute I unpacked it...
