I stripe in Houston....and today I walked into one of my main dealers...only to see a stripe job that looks just like mine...it was an Xterra..It wasn't mine though, they had lettered the quarter like I do .This isn't a first, several of the local stripers copy me to a T...I suppose I should be flatterd ,but I work hard to develope my own style, and it bothers me that people who bad mouth me have the nerve to copy me!There is a local sign artist that I've been training ,he copies me,but that doesn't bother me.What do you think?...No I don't copy others.

We've spearheaded a number of carving techniqies in our studio. Every once in a while I see an attempt to duplicate that which we've developed. When my daughter asked the same question you just did, I told her that "we never look back". It's a waste of time and worry to jealously guard what you've accomplished. If you take the time to do that you'll never move forward. Keep on keepin' on.........nothing you say or do is going to change someone's willingness to copy and capitalize on your techniques. Stay ahead of the copy cats. They're in your shadow..........you're in the sun.

I understand the problem Steve, but they will probably always be following you. Actually should be a good feeling.
I myself am content on refining the "St.Marie" v-carve effect. Glad I thought of it.

You've got it upside down, David........that's the "^" carve effect, but keep trying.
