Try this one at holiday time.
Deep fried venison loin....
Loin must be trimmed and cut in half cross ways.
Deep fry the loin the day before your meal.
Cook it in hot grease for about 5 minutes.
remove from grease, pat with paper towels.
I expect you could use rapid prep to remove all the grease, but never tried.
Cool overnight.
Just before meal time..
slice loin across.. wafer thin..
It will be bright pink in color..pretty at Christmas time.
roll slices tightly and skewer with colored toothpicks.
Serve it on a bed of nice green fresh lettuce
I like a condiment tray for dipping with...
1. Cocktail sauce
2. Horseradish/mayonnaise sauce
3. Hot salsa
4. Wasabi paste...Japanese horseradish
Deep fried wild turkey.
Pluck a spring gobbler..
clean
deep fry in peanut oil...
4 minutes to the pound....
I have read of marinates and mixtures that are injected...never tried em..
Just plain is a mighty fine taste treat for your palette.
Im sure a domestic turkey would be tasty as well.
Both of these recipes are definate outdoor projects.....
Mmmmm....
