I don't think there is A font. Each car is generally different. Most of the NASCAR numbers are fonts with editing afterwords, like slanting, stretching and distorting. Your best bet would be to scan and trace the numbers you want, but be careful of the usage most of the big boys numbers are trademarked. What numbers are you looking for?

The government told Intel they could not copywrite a number. That was when we went from 486, 586 and so on to Pentium and so on. There are just so many number that will fit on the side of a car, so the number can not be held as personal. Maybe the exact style, coloring and further editing might give you some problems to use.

The exact letterstyles and colors of the Winston cup teams are. Probably one of the reason they are altered from a font. The number three is not trademarked/copyrighted, but a 3 exactly like the one that was on the side of Dale Earnhardts monte carlo is.

If you are doing race cars, any bold, easy to read font will work fine.

Keep in mind the distance the cars will be seen from, do they race at night or day? Dirt or Asphalt? The number will be a big factor too, a 4 or 7 will drive you nuts with some fonts.

I do alot of race cars and since I have added vinyl to my arsenal, I still hand paint and design alot of the numbers by hand, guess I still need to get dirty.

If you are talking about replicating a number from Winston Cup car for someone's window, i can't help you there, tell them to buy one from K-mart
