I discovered I could put router bits in mine.
It works great for rounding edges of wooden things..

I have the 4 speed with the light, it's called the "Revolution" and love it.

One thing I did which makes it easier to handle, is I made a base plate out of clear acrylic, and hot melt glued it onto the existing base. This helps keep it at right angles to the work you are doing, which is sometimes difficult if you are rounding edges on curved shapes.

I like my roto-zip too, had it for about 2 years, but I wouldn't put a router bit in mine, that is what routers are for LOL

I have the revolution model as well..

it ROCKS!

I never even thought about putting router bits in it, but then again I use mine mostly for chomping through fiberglass and masonry.

I got the real old one & I put router bits on it. Nothing real big or fancy, but a regular "round off" or a laminate trimmer bit.

Glad to learn that you can use router bits. The book says not to, but I have been tempted since I would be using it on HDU. I like the acrylic plate idea. Can't wait to try it.

Speaking of Dremel, I see that there's now an attachment for the tool which converts it into a rotozip type tool. Cost is less than $20 (am).
