As much as I've enjoyed painting hiway boards, and appreciated the incredible pictorial art they often displayed, I also applaud the Highway Beautification Act.
Look at what happened to the remaining boards. They are covered with bags printed by machines. That sure isn't what I'd want obstructing my view or implanting images in my brain.
At least we once had art.
