A customer has a bus that sustained extensive damage due to the driver driving the bus while the rear brakes were locked down which resulted in a fire that burned the undercarraige, inside of the bus and the side panels which had graphics on them.

The graphics are painted on and from the thickness of the paint appears to have been rolled on, and then cleared over.

I can use the other side of the bus to trace the graphics onto paint mask, so that doesn't seem to big of a problem, but I'm not schooled in the types of paint to use for such a job.

A little guidance in pricing would be helpful too. The main graphic is 2 colors (black/yellow). 2 black "swooshes" with a yellow drop (approx. 4'x15'). Also the words "Neal's Motor Coach" 18"x 15'.

I'm in downtown Atlanta, where the cost of living is getting higher and higher so the pricing doesn't have to be too low, the job is an insurance job, and the cost of repairing all the other damage to the bus is already in the $80,000 range, and the shop that is doing the repair work is my customer. I am basically the only person he calls to repair graphics on jobs he does. I do need to leave a little room for my customer to tack on his share, usually 10% - 15%.

Any help would be appreciated. More so about the paint and technique, but pricing help would be nice too.

Since the 1st job was roller coated, why not use paint mask and roll it on using 1Shot with hardner? Let the shop shoot on the clear coat. Sounds like about $600 (not having seen the original.)

Contact one of the folks at Auto Color in Marietta. Ask them about color matching the yellow in Deltron or PPG. Use the wet look additive with a hardener and spray it on. It's some tough paint.
